This course is all about hip hop—where it comes from, what it means, and how it speaks to real life. We’ll listen to music, read lyrics, and talk about big ideas like identity, justice, and using your voice. You’ll learn how hip hop connects to movies, clothes, and culture around the world. Most of all, you’ll learn how to think deeply, speak up, and back up your ideas with strong evidence. Hip hop is more than music—it’s a way to understand yourself, your community, and the world. We’ll also talk about how music can help us handle stress, stay strong, and take care of our minds and bodies.
